A full day was devoted to learning about the intellectual capital of the kingdom. We will visit numerous monuments, but we also advise hiring a professional tour guide who can point out the most fascinating locations, including Medersas (Koranic schools) such those at Chahrij, Bouinania Attarin, the souk, Fes El- Jadid, and Karaouine Mosque, which was the first university in the world. The neighborhood of leather tanners is quite interesting to see because we can see the craftsmanship there. In a hotel or riad for the night.
From Fez, go to the Middle Atlas region. First, stop at Ifrane, which is referred to as the Switzerland of Africa. Next, stop in Azrou Berber village, which is famous for its carpets, handicrafts, and wood carvings. Finally, travel to Midelt (the route is marked by the Tizi Talghemt or Neck Camella, which is located at an elevation of 1,907 m). The scenery is stunning, and the mountains are dressed in a deep purple coat. After reaching Errachidia, we proceed to Erfoud by way of a solid Tafilalet palm. We’ll spend the night at a Berber camp in the desert.
We travel to Rissani and then to the magnificent oasis-encircled Ksar of Touroug. After arriving in Tinejdad Tinerhir, we take a walk through the Todra gorges after lunch. Then we travel via the stunning Dades Valley Boulmane and stop at Kelâa I-Gouna-Rose Valley, which blooms profusely in May. When we get to Ouarzazate, we explore the Kasbah and have the option of going to Taourirt, which served as the Pasha of Marrakech’s home.
We’ll travel through the Tiz-in Pass (2260m) to get to Marrakesh. We will have the choice to visit the well-known Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Then, we carry on to the Pasha of Marrakech’s capital, stopping at its kasbah Talouet. We’ll travel the winding road to Tichkaque Port, which provides a breathtaking view of the Haouz plains in a kaleidoscope of colors. At last, we reach Marrakech.
We’ll do a city tour in the morning. As a political, economic, and cultural city with a long history that has always dominated the history of the Maghreb, its fate is tied to that of the various dynasties that arise. The renowned Plaza Jemaa el Fna in Marrakech city is another must-see. For generations, it has been the most wonderful center of street entertainment, with fortune tellers, musicians, dancers, storytellers, and snake charmers. The Medersa Ben Yussef, the Menara, the Dar Si Said Museum, the Agdal Garden, the Saadian Tombs, and the El Badi and Bahia Palaces are just a few of the many attractions in Marrakech.
