You are invited to take a 2-day desert tour from Fez to Merzouga and return by the “Morocco Historical Tours COMPANY” to explore the Sahara. You will be picked up by our private driver in Fes at your hotel. In the renowned ski resort of Ifrane, which has been dubbed the Switzerland of Morocco for its architecture, we will explore the Middle Atlas mountains.

We proceed to the cedar grove of Azrou, then to Midelt and Errachidia. We go through the stunning Ziz Valley and stop at the fossils in Erfoud. Before traveling to the Merzouga desert, we explore the local souk in Rissani.

For a cup of tea, we pause at the Sahara Desert Hotel. Then, we get ready to ride camels across the Erg Chebbi sand dunes to the Merzouga camp. You can take in the desert sunset, have a traditional Berber meal next to the campfire, and listen to Nomads’ Berber music. In Merzouga, we spend the night in a tent in the desert.

As soon as you wake up, you will watch the magnificent sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga. After this wonder of nature, you will ride a camel to a hotel where you can shower and have breakfast to recharge your batteries for the rest of the experience. Resuming your journey, you will pass through the Tafilalet Palmeral and the village of Rissani, which is also the residence of the Moroccan royal family, before arriving in Alnif. To learn more about the Berber communities of Tazarine and N’kob and to admire the Draa Valley and its vast expanse of date palms, you will then pass through the breathtaking mountains of the Anti-Atlas. You will arrive in the new Ouarzazate after navigating the port of Tizi N’Tnifift through the mountains, where you will stop for lunch. After finishing your meal and stopping at the famous kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, depending on the time of year, you will return to Marrakech, where you will arrive around 7:00 p.m., concluding our 2-day tour from Fez to Marrakech through the Sahara Desert.
