You can also spend a night or two in a Berber tent under the stars and watch locals playing traditional Berber drum music. You can stay in a desert camp for two nights with our 2-night Camel Trekking in Merzouga. You can ride a camel through golden sand dunes on the way to the camp and go sandboarding while admiring the sunset. On the first evening, after a sumptuous dinner, you can sit outside and watch performances of Berber music by local nomads. To the sound of fierce music, you can dance if you wish.

2 nights in Merzouga desert and camel trekking
Upon your arrival, we will take your luggage by 4×4 to the camp. At around 5:30 pm, we will start our camel ride to our overnight stay in the desert. During the tour to the desert camp, you will be accompanied by the camel guide who will guide you and help you if needed. The camel tour in the desert will be a wonderful opportunity to take beautiful photos, sunset in the desert… The camel ride to the camp will last between 1 hour and 30 minutes. If you want to watch the sunset, you can stop in the desert or see it from the dunes near your camp. Our team will introduce you to your personal tent. A cup of mint tea will then be served. After dinner, we will gather around the fire with Berber music, dance and learn about nomadic life from the Berbers. Finally, you will be able to take a night walk in the desert to stargaze before sleeping.
After breakfast at your camp we will begin our excursion to Merzouga to explore several interesting sites around the dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will have the opportunity to visit a nomadic Berber family who still lives in their tent in the black desert and have a glass of mint tea with them and learn about life in the desert… Later we will continue to the M’ifis mines, in addition to tourism, the Merzouga desert is also famous for minerals and fossils. During our Merzouga desert 4×4 tour we will continue to the village of Khamlia, if you are interested in listening to the Gnawa music of the dark-skinned people who were brought to Morocco as immigrants more than a hundred years ago and worked as slaves… We will make stops at different scenic spots to enjoy the scenery and take pictures… After lunch at a local restaurant, we will return to the camp.
We recommend getting up before daylight to see a magnificent sunrise over the dunes. After these pleasant moments, you will have a delicious breakfast and shower at the camp, after which you will ride the camels back to the original starting point or there is the option of transferring directly from the camp to the village if you no longer wish to ride the camels.

Your camel ride in Merzouga desert will take arround one hour and half
Night is colder and winter (mid-November to early March) warmer (day: 26°C/night: 0°C).
In summer (mid-June to mid-September) the temperature rises to 45°C during the day and 30°C at night.
During the rest of the year, the temperature (between 24°C and 30°C) remains basically constant from day to night.
